Lithium ions migrate during discharge from the negative electrode through the electrolyte to the positive electrode, and then back again during the charging. However, internal damage can eventually lead to a FIRE when attempting to recharge it at later times. Please exercise proper understanding and usage of the battery in your application to prevent safety issues or injuries and to prolong battery life.
